I was a patriotic singaporean yday! haha..went for the NDP preview... enjoyed myself truely and fully definitely! upload the potos another day! However...Think i hit like 4000Kcal yday? but wth! who cares when u r having fun! haha.. normal sendentary male inatke should be about 2600Kcal per day! Munching away non-stop thruout the parade...haha... eating is my hobby too ma! Bbq Ruffles down, nuts down, Ritz down, Hello Panda look-alike down, and the barang barang inside the goodie bag!!! after tt went to the famous RLD geylang to makan! YES!!! makan!!! First stop was at the Red colour signboard shop selling the ever famous beef horfun! next had soy bean milk and dao hui and shao bing with pork floss and egg, and e very you, you tiao! was actually planning to gobble down mongkok dim sum and durian too...but really c.m.i already! Reach home slept with my stomach bloated... and...

when e fun is over.... here comes e guilt! haha

supposed to be running with them at sentosa this morning! but i flew them aeroplane! i cant wake up for goodness sake..supposed to be there at 7am...but i woke up at 7am!! so i never run in the end.... in order not to feel guilty for wat ive eaten...lol.... went gym instead... and congrats to myself!!! i can once again do bench presses PAIN-FREE! my shoulder has healed! not completely thou...cos i stil cant do shoulder exercise... but able to do benchpress is good enuff! its my fav exercise btw!!! haven been training shoulders and delts for very long, now arms and delts look like just one slab of ba4(meat) haha. but started training my delts today, alternative exercise which i jus learned from vin!

anyway...while i was at the bus stop..i tot i had a blister on underneath my feet, my itchy fingers trying to peel out the deadskin! but e next moment a whole lump of flesh was pulled out! and blood was driping at the busstop! for that moment, it looks like some CSI scene. only did i realised later that its not blister...i got corns! the whole chunk of flesh was a corn... for those who dunno wth is corn..pls go www.answers.com and type corn and enter! feel so garang at that moment... tore out my gym towel into a strip and tie around my feet! hahaa... damn unsightly la...but no choice...if not wat to do? call amblance for this kind of ting? haha...

now cant really walk properly... run? defnitely cannot. also cannot go out with lewis n company cos of this... if not have to limp around while shopping, aiya....rather stay at home on my comfy shair and type this blog of mine la!

i am so dulan bcos i came back from the gym... not bcos of the gym but cos on my way home, left my mini wallet on the bus!!! Total damage not a lot but nonetheless, its still damn du lan!!! 1 debit 1 credit 1 ez link! called to report loss, 20 bucks for each lost card, so i told e person: just cancel everything... dun wan any cards anymore! ezlink..tts e worse...gotta go down to yih to make a replacement...sian. on the brighter side...lucky nv lose my big wallet! i was tagging in my frens s.j blog on his lost wallet onli a few days back..bnow its me..isnt it ironic?!?!


saw uncle vincent again...omg he is 50 yrs old...but he look like hes in hte late 30s. wth is uncle vincent? he is someone who has been guiding me for training.. injured my shoulder tendons, but he actually taught me a few tricks to train my shoulders with minimum stress on the tendon...hes simply damn gd la. okok..this is him!

woke up at 0515, stoned till 0600 den went running. today went to a new place!!! ran along kallang river, then instead of turning left to j8, went straight ahead to bishan park! den out of it, and back to j8 again! but today damn tired. think havent recover fully yet... was running so soo slow... ended by run with many many crunches and pull ups! my breakfast was good! good bcos had a chocolate mint shake with cornflakes! always look 4ward to breakfast! :)

came back from 30laps... checked my email and i recieved a good news from the army half marathon committee! yday send them a email hoping to extend the deadline bcos i missed the registration deadline which was yday, 23rd July!!! This is the reply i got from them!!!

so proud of my self-discipline! flagged myself off at 0530. ran from my house to SAJC, i think its about 3km. From there, ran along kallang river from MR chiam see tong stronghold to bishan, the river stinks in the morning! thats another 3km which makes 6km. Its like only 0610, so i start to jog very slowly so that when i reach mac, at least its not completely darkness. Jog veryvery slowly to Bishan J8, crossed the road to Raffles institute on my way to macritchie reservoir, another 1km. (7km). Jay-ran past all the major traffic junctions all the way from RJC to the reservoir, oh goodness! how daring i am! haha. When i reached the starting point of the X-ctry route, it was like only 0630...stillveryvery dark. The air was really very good, i can smell the green, but the visibilty was kind of bad. ran the 3.6km route, and along the way, saw orange light from far wobblin up and down, only did i realised later that some runners were actually carrying torches and running. from mac, then ran back to stadium, did some pull ups to prepare for ippt, which i will be taking soon... then reverse crunches....then tts it! end of my morning training. breakfast was a cup of milk with weetbix, yogurt and a slice of wholemeal bread! go leisure swim later... :)

Friday. never exercise. work till 11pm!

Saturday. Went to the gym... with... my sister & her bf! her endurance is very bad, sister... u need to stay longer and please tahan la... if weights are not heavy then why are weights called weights??? */ hope u see this!/ * then halfway came d.r. my triceps was stilll aching from thurs, and yday, for the 1st time in many weeks, i resume my abs training again! did declined situps until kena abrasion agn. then went home and out again for GSS! went for the midnite sale at marina square and bought 4 bags of clothes. so far, been to 4 midnight sales, and the one at marina sq is still on of the better ones!

due to to midnight madness, i cant wake up next morning, so this weekend i never run at all!!! prob go for swim later, but weather dun look too promising!!

oh yes! i have officially registered for the new balance real run!

saw uncle vincent at the gym today! and once agn...he taught me a few tricks... concentrated bicep curls and chest contractions. its actually the usual stuffs we read in BB magazine, but he emphasizes a lot on form, which makes a simple workout into one tt is so damn tiring. major mistake that most ppl who goes to the gym is to lift weights..lift for the sake of lifting...which is very very wrong! lets say if we are trying to hit pectorias, then while doing bench presses, our arms is just to support, not exert any strenght. back should be relax not flexed. thruout the whole movement, only the chest should be feeling the expansion only. anyway, uncle vincent is a national BB who represented our majulah singapura... a short little guy...shorter than me...heehee... but his hamstring is like thesize of my head! nice and funny fella, who doesnt know the meaning of chio bu. who doesnt in singapore?

did a full upper body workout with minimal shoulder involvement, thou its not recommended. but no choice, cos seldom go gym now, so as and when i have the time, will whack full upper bod. and the onli ting i look forward after hrs of lifting is a cold shake! wahh...cant wait to drink the protein shake man. currently have cafe mocha, banana and chocomint left... 3 tubs...dunno how to finish them man... who wants to buy from me?!?! hehe... think it taste better than mcdonald shakes...simply fantastic!

oh yes... my shoulder still hurts while trying to do arnold press.... haii..one of my fav. exercise. wat to do...rest for another 4 mths! already rested my shouders for 2 mths and counting...

supposed to be back from swim, but went running instead! cos 4got to bring something!! did a 6 x 100m sprint follow by 200m run then 100m walk. gotta train the fast twitch muscles as well...been running long dist but cant go any faster. after tt, ran a short 2k back home, slow one. so tired now. tml will be my off day den!

decided to hit the gym in the evening instead of taking off from training tml! haven been hitting weights for quite a long time...developin bitch tits... haik. better do something man... hopefully uncle vincent ( shi fu ) will be there tml!

sunday has jus ended. keep it short!


so my mornin "date" wasnt jus with roy, kenneth was there too... tot will be running sentosa today, so cna train on running on sand, but roy suggested mac. so started at the same point as we did previously,but this time ran bout 5k to the HSBC tree-top walk as they nv been there b4, BUT!! when we reached there, it was only 8am, 1 hr short from the opening hr, so we din managed to run along the suspension bridsge. y did they open only at 9am?? its like so late and hot already...'ponders'...guess we will nv have the chance to run the treetop walk agn, cos we always run so early. so made a U-turn and ran another 5k back to the macritchie carpark, and tt ends the 10k run. after tt, they went to balestier for breakfast, but poor me gotta teach my melayu student.. so from mac reservoir, ran another 2k home... ate my breakfast popiah, and off i go for my tuition!

tuiton..nothin interestin. nth worth mentioning.

1.45pm, ended my lesson and off i go to JB!
reached jb bout 3 plus pm, had cheesecake there as usual, the one at the basement of city sq, secret recipe...it was a apple crumble cheesecake, from e name u can visualise how it looks like..jus apple crumble with cheesecake layer in btw..not too bad actually. sweet and cheesy.

then KLKK arnd the place until uncle C.J msg us as he jus ended his golf lessons. from there, next destination was holiday plaza, went to dvds shop, but nv buy anything... went KLKK agn, bought snacks here and there to bring back to office. then the finale! went to "peking restoran", dunno y malaysians cant spell restaurant after so many years?! okok... now for the dishes we ordered!! for those who dunno where is peking restoran...simple. jus take a cab and say: uncle, i want to go peking rest-tor-ran. he will get it, dun ever say restarant..they will go: HUH? it has air-conditioned and non-airc area, food wise, def beta than ta-ma-hua-yuan.
as for what we ordered..this is it.

Sat was fabulastic. slack in office, drink 2 cups of english tea, courtesy of servery (stolen :)), finish almost half of those danish butter cookies which i bought from ntuc this morning. went to food fair at taka sq, prepared to buy lots of snacks back, but darned! blur me left my wallet in office yday, so gotta ask jj keep for me in his locker so tt i can get it today, but i 4got to get it agn! onli can retrieve it on monday. so went to the food fair onli with a card pouch + a backup 10 bucks... which dun seemed to be very useful.


1st stop, ate the japanese ice creme, which was supposedly claimed by m.s tt after eating the green tea one, ur "shit" will turn green, but i ate the wasabi version, not bad..but g tea is still betta. 2nd stop was at the basement of taka, bought a big tub of hello panda strawberry for work on monday! gluttony!! 3rd pit stop was japanese mini doughnut with sugar, e whole process if making the donuts was automated, from making the ring dough to frying to DONE, and the machine cost 10k, meaning selling 2500 packets of tt tingy can already cover cost, quite ez actually. 4th station, kiwi ice shavings. then last was boneless chicken wing, nice, which concludes the food fair! :) haven been slacking at home for quite some time now, got home after tt, n the feelin of reachin home b4 sun set was gd.


gotta slp early agn tonite, have a "date" with roy tml at macritchie at 730 (while i.c. enjoyin himself in BKK) , hopefully tml can cover 20. wats next... "date" with my kids, fadly and ariff! sian...

den e interestin part...JB again!



guess c.c. (jus back from aust) must be missing the sambal stingray, butter prawns, sambal lala, black pepper crab, fried oyster omelette, cray fish, sambal kangkong, sambal sotong and e list goes on n on n on... so tml a feast awaits me!

Phew! jus came back from a 15 k run...
From TPY station to SAJC to J8 to RJC to Macritchie then back to RJC then all the way back home... feeling great now! ..but after puttin my new runing shoes to the 15k test, realised that my right toes is kind of squashed up... and the last kilo my toes starts to grind against each other. prob got 1/2 size too small... hopefully it will expand as it gets season larh... if not gotta waste $$ for a new pair agn! signin off... gotta go take a shower n off to tanglin club!! Cheers for a gd day ahead!

shit... woke up at 0530, rained heavily so went back to slp agn...skipped my morning run. went to office, lunch time eat nasi padang, unhealthy. bought 85% dark chocolates... eat them, sinful! after work, bought cookies from subway, sinful agn! 10pm, eat sago with coconut milk and coconut sugar, very sinful!

tml will be a better day, took off to celeb dad's but going to eat steamboat buffet, healthier choice...but its a buffet!! meaning i will eat till i drop. but going to the gym at 830am till lunch time! :)

ah huh! my very first real blog! used to blog, aint exactly blogging actualli but more like selling stuffs over blogsite at sportshealth.blogspot.com (pls support) heh. but now since its one more b4 sch starts, and im so darn free.. decide to blog on my training, be it weights or running, whateva it is, it will be logged...here!

ever since mr sg ended 1 mth plus ago, i actually gained 8 kg! 8g mind u... in wat? in less than a mth! all thks to my sinful dietof daily doses of chocolates, ice-creme, cookies, anything and everything sin food u mentioned. hah. why the sudden paranoia over sin food?tip number 1: never ever diet...cos it will not be permanent. during mr sg period, gotta keep in shape, cannot eat this and that, avoid this and that,so sian... so when the competition is over, my mind jus gives in... and pow! here comes the 8kg! worse still.. went to reservist, sitting in the tonner, rain and rai, cant do anything, so muching on combat rations to kill time... i finished all my rations and even the lao jiao gimme their... haha...

8kg is ok..i can lose them, alreadt lose 3/8 of it already actually, but what i got back after mr sg was a shoulder injury too..tendonitis, all thks to my stupidity.training like almost everyday back then, got pain still train, until recently, when i was benching, my shoulders give wayand the whole bar drops to my chest! used to benchlike 75 kg! but now... gimme a empty olympian bar and i will have problems with it!went to acupunture, suck out my blood and water vapor that clots at my joint, but till now still hurts. wanted to join bb competition after mr sg, but now..bb no more !so i decide to train for endurance races now... now tt my upper body is "useless" until 6 mths later! heh.

been running a lot this few week...weekdays before going work, set my alarm at 530am, wake up stone till 6 plus then will go for a 5click runempty stomach, reason being, while slpin, the body aleady metabolise the carbs, so the moment u go for a run when u wake up, the body burn the fats immediately!needs a lot ofdiscipline, but been doing it for weeks now...:)
weekends: will meet up with roy and iain in the morning for long dist run. last week went to macritchie for a run, intended to go treetop walk, but ended up running a 10k route, w/o going to the treetop. heres a picture of the treetop walk! nice tiok bo!??!

after the run, we went to upp thomson, some kopi tiam for breakfast! fish porridge and teh-o! went to a pet shp after tt to look for dogs,cos thinking of getting a beagle...then can bring it out to run...heh. everyweekend, my training will be like this, a long dist run, different place everytime.

to further motivate myself, and also to prevent further injuries, i went to qw sc with kenneth and roy to buy running shoes, but gotta treat them 50cent mcdonald ice-creme for some reaons...haha... rach was in the mcdonalds too, her fren celeb 21st bday there..but din see her... imagine with the kiddy party hats etc on 21 yr olds? aha .... hilarious. roy had been a great help in helping me to choose a running shoe, he himself got 5 pairs of running shoes, kind of siao...after tryin so many diff models, tink the boss aso du lan already, i got a ascis DS-trainer IX in the end. its a highly recommended to all man, it jus grips around the ankle comfortably and securely, good support too! my best buy thruout the whole GSS! :) so today i put the shoes to the test... met iain and roy at sentosa at 730am, and ran the newbalance realrun route, thou i haven join the race, still considering...a lot of ppl from safra running club were there too... it was a good run, the pace was faster than usual, but great run overall!

after the run, we went to chinatown in my stinky outfit to meet adolophus for a meal. ate dumpling soup mee then after tt had steam cold egg white with honey.. gd stuff!
